Finding your way forward isn't a puzzle to solve intellectually—it can be a holistic, creative process of returning to yourself and engaging with what cannot be named with words. Deep, lasting shifts can happen when we learn to safely feel into what is happening in the present moment. By blending relational Gestalt Therapy and Somatic Experiencing®, we work with dialogue to name what’s happening and why. Somatic approaches engage with the felt-sense; the knot in your stomach, the bracing through your body or collapse through your spine. We will work directly with your nervous system to safely process these bodily responses and open to change, moving at a pace that honours your needs.
Education & Credentials
I am licensed by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and am an active member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy (CAPT). I graduated from the rigorous five-year training program at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto, and have completed advanced training in body-based modalities that support resolving trauma symptoms and stress-related disorders, including Somatic Experiencing® and Movement for Trauma. My therapeutic approach bridges clinical precision with creative depth; in addition to talking and reflection, sessions incorporate experiential techniques such as parts work, drawing, movement, and other forms of embodied, non-verbal expression. This work is informed by my academic background, including an MA thesis at York University that straddled disciplines to explore practices of sensory attunement and the vital importance of fostering sensuous modes of attention to move towards collective flourishing.
